With a BFA in painting and drawing and a background teaching studio art and art history, Sara Brigham opened Studio Lenore in 2012 to explore decorative and functional art. She lovingly designs and hand-paints each piece. Some of her materials include acrylic paint, canvas, pinewood, brass hooks and reclaimed porcelain and metal knobs, which she has fun collecting from antique and vintage shops, thrift stores and estate sales all over.
While her current work is made up of geometric designs, simple graphic paintings and functional art, she has studied and taught various styles and techniques of painting, printmaking, and sculpture and she is a lover of strange portraits.
Sara lives here in Durham, NC with her lovely husband Damon and enjoys a fulfilling mix of jobs including artist, summer camp director, energy healing practitioner, and birth doula.
